HEAD COACH
Nicknames
Loz
Where are you from?
Mandurah, Western Australia
What sort of coach are you?
I pride myself on being a fun, enthusiastic coach who can connect with players to extract their best performance and elevate their coaching experience.
Why do you coach?
Seeing players smiling and having a ball, while progressing their skills, never fails to put a huge grin on my face. Having the responsibility of developing a player’s on and off-court abilities is a great privilege in my eyes, and being able to undertake this influential role, all while constantly learning new things myself, is why I love coaching.
Most memorable moment/s from your coaching so far
It’s hard to pin down an exact moment, but being trusted to take up the role of ‘Head Coach’ for some junior squads at South Mandurah Tennis Club has been a very rewarding experience for me. Arriving at the courts each week to see the same keen groups of kids and their parents unexpectedly became something I valued highly, so it would have to be those small moments that are special to me.
Favourite tennis player/s?
I have a soft spot for Stefanos Tsitsipas and Ash Barty too of course.
